Q: How can I prepare for hand rejuvenation treatments?
A: During your consultation, you can discuss your goals. This will include which treatment options are best for you, Pre and Post care, and answer any questions about the procedure. Patients who are having dermal fillers or fat injections should avoid drinking, taking multivitamins, aspirin, ibuprofen, St. Johns Wort, high doses of vitamin E and other blood thinners for one week prior to treatment. This will decrease the risk of bruising.
Q: What should I expect during hand rejuvenation treatment?
A: These treatments are done in all of our offices in Western Pa. The length of the procedure may vary, depending on which treatments. Broad Band Light (BBL) and dermal fillers will take less than 30 minutes to complete. Fat Transplantation may take between 2-3 hours. Topical or local numbing is used for some of the hand rejuvenation treatments.
Q: Is there any discomfort with the treatments?
A: No anesthesia is required for most of these treatments. Fillers are formulated with a local anesthetic. Pain is minimal with these treatments. The laser treatments feel like a warm rubber band snaps. The area treated may feel warm for a few hours afterward. Procedures are quick, minimally invasive and require no downtime.

A: Laser skin resurfacing can correct deep wrinkles, skin pigmentation, improve skin’s texture and stimulate new collagen growth for more youthful skin. Small microscopic columns of coagulated skin are vaporized and removed (leaving healthy tissue surrounding it).
