Rosacea Treatment |
|
| |
This is a
chronic condition of the skin and is common over the
face. The characteristic changes include redness and
presence of capillaries. The redness may vary with
seasonal conditions. There may be associated
bumpiness especially over the nose. At times there
is intense flushing which may enhance the redness.
This may be induced by trigger factors that include
stress, weather changes etc. |

|
| |
We use a
combination therapy modality (ND Yag, IPL, and Diode
Lasers) for both soft tissue conditioning and
visible capillary proliferation. This in association
with product corrections has significantly reduced
the symptoms and visible signs of Rosacea in
patients. Few treatments may be necessary in some
patients for recurring symptoms. Maintenance
treatments may help in long terms management. |

- Sun Damage: Wide areas of pigmentation on
the face, chest, and arms.
- Sunspots: Individual pigmented lesions, also
known as age spots.

and face.
- Spider Veins: Individual vessels, which can

F.A.Q.'s |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Q: How does
pulsed light work? |
|
| |
A: We use specialized handpieces
which filter light from different parts of the
spectrum. Each band of the spectrum has a wavelength
that is ideal for different treatments, such as hair
reduction, sunspot removal, and acne treatment. The
hair removal handpieces emit pulses of light into
the hair follicles. The light is absorbed by the
pigment in the follicles and converted to heat. The
heat then loosens the hair and disables the cells
responsible for growing new hair. |

| |
|
|
| |
Q: How is
pulsed light different from a laser? |
|
| |
A: Pulsed light systems and lasers
are very similar, but our pulsed light systems use a
much larger treatment window than most lasers. This
spreads light over a wide area of skin and allows
faster coverage of the skin and quicker treatments
as a result. |

|
|
| |
Q: What body
areas can I get treated? |
|
| |
A: Any area,
except directly around the eyes. The upper lip,
face, neck, underarms, bikini line, legs, chest &
back can all be treated. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Q:
What should I expect after treatment? |
|
| |
A: You may experience lingering
warmth, tightness, or redness in the treated area,
which fades within a few hours of treatment. Because
so much of the skin is unaffected by the light
pulses, there is a quick healing process. Generally,
you can receive a treatment and go back to work or
to other activities without any recovery time. A
series of treatments at 4-6 week intervals may be
required to achieve the desired result of smoother,
tighter skin in the face, arms, abdomen & other
areas. Your treatment provider will be able to give
you more information about treatments and expected
results. |
