The laser pulses a fraction of a second and the
light is absorbed by the pigment located in the hair

What body areas can

Any area, except
over your eyes. The upper lip, face, neck,
underarms, bikini line, chest, back, etc. can all be
safely treated. |

What is the laser
treatment like? What can I expect after the
treatment? |

The technician will
move the laser handpiece over your skin while the
light pulses. You may feel a mild sensation and the
laser will emit a tone when pulsed. Immediately
after the treatment, rare, but you may expect a mild
sunburn-like sensation that does not usually last
more than 12 hours. The treated hair will continue
to appear for up to 30 days, but this is not new
hair growth. This is the treated hairs being
expelled from the skin. At any given time, some of
your hair is in an active growth phase, so that is
why you need more than one treatment to remove all
of the unwanted hair. |

The LightSheer works on tanned or different skin
colors?
|

The LightSheer diode laser system safely and
effectively treats all skin types (Fitzpatrick Skin
Types I-VI) as well as tanned skin. For darker skin
types and people with tans, appropriate fluences are
generally lower and appropriate pulse widths are
generally longer to prevent damage to the epidermis.
Using the appropriate treatment parameters, however,
people with all skin types can benefit from laser
hair removal with the LightSheer. There is however
less sensitivity and more accuracy the lighter the
skin pigment. |

Are the Results Permanent?

The LightSheer laser has been cleared by the FDA for
hair removal and permanent hair reduction on all
skin types and tanned skin. To achieve a
satisfactory level of clearance, 3-5 treatments are
